The main objective of the project was to work out a set of concepts on how to use the potential of migrants for the sake of local communities and international networks.

The starting point for preparing new concepts were presentations of initiatives, NGOs and programmes already existing in each of the countries represented by the participants.

Here is a short overview of what the participants presented:

Bulgaria and Migration Issues

Germany and Migration Issues

Moldova and Migration Issues

Lithuania and Migration Issues

Ukraine and Migration Issues

The next step – that is working out various new concepts concerning mobility and migration – took place in three groups moderated by three experts. Some of results concentrated more on promoting diversity within local communities, whereas others developed educational projects increasing awareness of different dimensions of mobility.

Here are the concepts worked out during the project:

Language Club

Foreign students participating in university exchange programmes offer language lessons in their mother tongues. This way local students have an opportunity to learn foreign languages and cultures. On the other hand foreign students get integrated in the local students’ community faster.

One day as a migrant
